Episode one Notes
I got a lot of positive feedback from it from you guys,Thank you! the purpose of this podcast is so you don't have to go through the reevaluation of your life alone! it means a lot to me to be trusted to be your companion in the process.
Ok so, I got a lot of questions on what the "to do" list should look like.
while I can't tell you what to do, I can give you an example of what MY to do list looked like.
to clarify, this was a to do list that existed to eliminate any idle time, eliminate drinking/using from the equation AND to get back on track as far as doing things in your life that you enjoy and can be proud of.
So, immediately after I quit drinking, my list looked alot like this. The list that preceeded this had 'buy keyboard, buy affordable starter guitar" etc on it.
7am Wake up,
breakfast,
Tidy up my space (incuding dishes)
go to the gym
work
piano practice)
guitar practice
read at least 2 pages from jordan peterson book
do some writing at menottis,
NO FUCKING DRINKING (or using)
Go home
NO GOING OUT AFTER 6pm
repeat gym if restless.
Talk to sponsor
bed
Now obviously, you'll need to modify your to do list to what the structure of your life is. If you have a spouse,children, their needs also makes the to do list, as does any additional resposiblities you might have. The to do list is serves as a strict schedule and guide. think carefully what you want on it and make sure you do whats there. Obviously we are only human and sometimes there just isnt enough time, but be very honest about a real effort has been made into accomplishing all on list. transfer whatever you didnt get to or modify the to do list to be more manageable .
